Summary:
Part-time (approx.
10 to 25 hours per week), located at our Monroe Camus in Tannersville, PA.
Academic Coaches meet with students on a one-on-one basis to help each student achieve success in college.
Common areas of focus include acclimation to the college environment and faculty expectations, goal setting, academic skills, study strategies, time management, and overcoming academic challenges.
Academic coaches also facilitate group workshops, collaborate with faculty and staff, and participate in ongoing training and development through CRLA certification and focused training opportunities.
Qualifications:
Earned bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)Previous experience in academic coaching, academic advising, tutoring, teaching, counseling, or another area related to supporting student successKnowledge of common challenges encountered by community college students, student learning and development, and strengths-based advising preferredOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsA genuine desire to help others learn, achieve success, and reach goalsSpecial Instructions:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
